Director of Nursing - DON

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team and ensure the highest standards of patient care in our facility. The DON will oversee all nursing operations, develop policies and procedures, manage budgets, and foster a positive work environment that promotes professional development and collaboration among nursing staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive clinical knowledge, and a commitment to excellence in nursing practice.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Lead, mentor, and supervise the nursing staff, promoting professional growth and a culture of accountability.

- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.

- Monitor and improve clinical outcomes through the analysis of patient care data and incident reports.

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and revise care plans based on individual patient needs.

- Manage nursing budgets, staffing levels, and resource allocation to ensure efficient operations.

- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols, safety regulations, and quality management initiatives.

- Maintain open lines of communication with patients, families, and staff to address concerns and promote a positive patient experience.

- Participate in staff recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing education and training programs.

- Conduct regular performance evaluations for nursing staff and implement corrective action plans as needed.

- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and advancements in nursing practice to inform policy development.

**Qualifications:**

- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.

- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.

- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards

- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

- Proven ability to effectively lead and develop a diverse team.

- Experience in budget management and performance improvement initiatives.
