COTA / OTA / Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic care team. The COTA will work under the supervision of licensed Occupational Therapists to provide support in the treatment of patients dealing with various physical, emotional, and mental challenges. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in therapeutic techniques, excellent communication skills, and a passion for enhancing the quality of life for individuals of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
-Collaborate with the supervising Occupational Therapist to develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and needs.
- Assist in conducting patient assessments and evaluations to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Provide direct patient care by implementing therapeutic activities and strategies that promote skill development and functional independence.
- Educate patients and their families about therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and home care strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting treatment sessions, progress, and any changes in patient condition.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards in the delivery of care.
- Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing professional development.
- Assist in the maintenance and organization of therapy equipment and facilities.

Qualifications:
- Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure as an OTA in accordance with state laws and regulations.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred, but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and engage patients in their rehabilitation process.
- Basic knowledge of therapeutic modalities, occupational therapy principles, and relevant clinical practices.
