Maintenance Technician-Weekends

Houston, TX

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team on weekends. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the facility operates smoothly and efficiently. This role will focus on preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting issues that arise in a variety of systems and equipment. The weekend technician will assist the Maintenance Supervisor/Director in maintaining all grounds, buildings, apartment homes, and equipment.

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, machinery, and systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).

- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.

- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and management, prioritizing urgent issues.

- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and system failures.

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed and materials used.

- Assist with the implementation of preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment performance.

- Collaborate with other team members on maintenance projects and initiatives.

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance work areas.

- Perform additional duties as assigned by the maintenance supervisor or management.

**Qualifications:**

- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role.

- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.

- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

- Availability to work weekends and flexible hours as needed.

- Relevant certifications or training in maintenance or construction is a plus (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing).

**Physical Requirements:**

- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to [specific weight, e.g., 50 lbs]) and perform physically demanding tasks.

- Comfortable working in various environments, including indoors and outdoors, and under varying conditions.
